The Donegal Blanket
Sitting in a tiny bay, one of many that line the edge of Lough Foyle, the frist thing I notice is the beautiful vivid colours of the seaweed, Bladerwack and algae. Dark reddy brown, edged with soft yellow like old gold, copper and bright green; a colour palette laid out in front of me.
Of course, there has to be a Donegal blanket. The light soft sand to be the main colour, with the seaweed to find its place in checks and stripes.
